Our German Nest

Here are the photos of the Casa de Lauluc as it appears...in January 2012. As you can see the Christmas tree is still up and I've even included photos of what it looked like when it snowed for ten minutes. The bigger ticket items are a combination of modern furnishing stores, secondhand furniture stores--I love those!!--IKEA, flea market finds and things we bought off of friends. Smaller items were from the same locations with the addition of the stuff we shipped over from the US. I am debating over a rustic brown for repainting the currently papaya colored dining room so I will have to upload the change when I get there. Let me know what you think!

The tour begins when you get in the front door. This is how our hallway appears as you enter.
To the left is the kitchen. It looks pretty much the same as the last time I uploaded photos after the boys were done installing it with the exception of some metal plaques I brought over from the US.
The opposite end of the sink are our cupboards. Also pretty much the same with the addition of a 1960's German teaching chart I scooped up at the flea market!
Dining room with the papaya walls and our Christmas tree.
We love our Darth Vader chair from Kartell! Mario watching, and I'm making an educated guess here, but I think it's soccer. Yep, it's soccer.
Living room where we splurged on a nice sleeper sofa that sleeps up to three. Super comfortable if anybody wants to crash., I'm just sayin...
Where the magic happens! Haha! Our bedroom complete with apparently very American rectangular pillows, American sized one-piece Queen sized down comforter with duvet. Because the pillows in Europe are square and they split their comforters into twin sizes no matter the size of the bed.
Our green striped bathroom, same as before but now with Christmas accents!
Our snowy view.
And then it melted.
